How do I determine net cash flow in a cash flow statement?

- Put the cash on hand as the first entry in the first column. Enumerate the incoming cash receipts in that column. List the out going cash ( checks) in the next column. Total them both and then calculate the difference between the two. This gives you the cash flow for a certain period. Good Luck!
- Simple! Work out all your inflows of cash and when they are going to be received (cash & cheques - yes, credit card stuff only when received or gone through your bank a/c). Do the same with all items of expenditure when you reckon that you are going to actually pay for them. The difference between Gross Inflows of money and Outflows of money is Net Cash Flow. Please remember that most people over - estimate their inflows and under - estimate their outflows especially in doing a Business Cash Flow Forecast!
