If you meant "personnel" management skills, then you would be asking about how to manage people (perhaps as a boss or human resources director). If that's the case, understanding what motivates the individuals you manage is probably worthwhile, so some basic personality assessments are worth understanding (e.g. "Please Understand Me" - a Myers/Briggs-style assessment book). If you really mean "personal" management, then is sounds like you want suggestions for how to manage yourself. That might make more sense for helping you to do research. If that's the case, I'd recommend reading a book like "The Seven Habits of Highly Successful People". It has loads of self-management guidelines and was a popular best-seller for many years.
